Being funded by the Kumba Iron Ore bursary programme gave me the peace of mind to fully focus on my studies without the constant worry of financial strain.

From 2021 to 2024, this bursary support enabled me to complete my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Geosciences. A major part of what made this experience so smooth was the incredible support from the Career Wise bursary team—Lesego, the bursary manager, and Kingsley, the bursary administrator—who were always available, approachable, and ready to assist whenever needed.

I’m proud to share that I’ve since graduated and am now working as a Junior Geologist at Kumba Iron Ore. Securing this position would not have been possible without the bursary programme’s investment in my education and growth.
