Pioneer Foods Education & Community Trust bursary scheme administered by Career Wise
Although it may not be a familiar name to you, Pioneer Foods is responsible for bringing you some of your favourite food and beverage brands. As one of South Africa’s largest producers and distributors of FMCG, Pioneer Foods operates a number of world-class production facilities, which produce many of your best-loved brands including Weet-Bix, Liqui-Fruit, Ceres, Sasko, Safari, Spekko and White Star. Although the company’s operations are mainly in South Africa, Pioneer Foods exports to more than 60 countries and has a truly global footprint.
In 2012, the Pioneer Foods Group established the Pioneer Foods Education & Community Trust (PFECT), which is funded by dividend and CSI contributions from its parent company. The mandate of the PFECT is to support community and education related programmes, including the PFECT Bursary Programme. To find out more about the Trust’s other initiatives, check out their webpage: (Pioneer Foods Education and Community Trust).
The great thing about the PFECT Bursary Scheme is that it supports students across a number of different disciplines. If you’re in Grade 12 and considering one of the following disciplines, then this may be the bursary for you:
